McMurry University won national recognition again this year for its outstanding academic programs.

McMurry University is proud to be recognized as a top-ranked institution for the 19th consecutive year by U.S. News and World Report Best College Guide. McMurry was ranked 16th in the top ranked institution in the Western Region of the Comprehensive Colleges-Bachelor’s category for these rankings. McMurry also ranked fourth in ethnic diversity in the regional college category with a Hispanic student population of 21 percent.

McMurry University was one of 234 ranked schools in U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges for Veterans. U.S. News developed the new rankings to help veterans pursue a college education under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.

Also, the University was recognized as a Military Friendly School. The Military Friendly Schools list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

The University has been honored as a College of Distinction for the 2014-15 academic year. The College of Distinction designation is given to select schools to honor their excellence in student-focused higher education.

Christian Colleges of Distinction - This online guide honors colleges excelling in key areas of educational quality based on the opinions of guidance counselors, educators and admissions professionals. McMurry was required to demonstrate excellence in the four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities, and successful outcomes.
